Wednesday, February 1, 2012 - Feast of Saint Brigid of Ireland

I would like the angels of Heaven to be among us. I would like an abundance of peace. I would like full vessels of charity. I would like rich treasures of mercy. I would like cheerfulness to preside over all. I would like Jesus to be present. I would like the three Marys of illustrious renown to be with us. I would like the friends of Heaven to be gathered around us from all parts. I would like myself to be a rent payer to the Lord; that I should suffer distress, that he would bestow a good blessing upon me. I would like a great lake of beer for the King of Kings. I would like to be watching Heaven’s family drinking it through all eternity. Saint Brigid

Saint Blaise, pray for us that we may not suffer from illnesses of the throat and pray that all who are suffering be healed by God's love. Amen

One of the lines in today’s Psalm speaks of you being angry with your people. The thought of you being angry is upsetting and odd to me. Please find the strength to forgive us for our wrong doings and help us to correct them so that we can be the people you want us to be.

Gracious God,
Help us see your guidance everyday. Jesus will satisfy our needs if only we let him. Even in our times of greatest weakness, he will fulfill our true desires. When we are parched, physically and spiritually, he will be there to satisfy us. Help us look for the answer to our prayers through quiet miracles and little acts of kindness from others. Help us to never lose sight of you, and what is truly good. Thank you for being there to show us your way, and to light our own path to your kingdom among us. Amen.
