Gracious God,
Gracious God, we have been given the gift of families and friends, teachers and coaches, advisors and spiritual leaders. At times we take these people for granted, and forget to offer them the thanks that they undoubtedly deserve. So on this day, may we offer thanks not only to you, but also to those we at times fail to recognize. They have contributed profoundly to our development as young people who are destined to make a difference in this world. May we use the tools they have given us, and the morals they have instilled in us, to one day serve others as they have served us. May we, who are today students, use our gifts to teach others in the future. Amen.
